I don’t understand
How a mother can’t love her child
How a man can spend his whole life in prison with no remorse
Why girls ditch their friends and family for just one dumb boy
Why BLACK is not considered beautiful
But most of all I don’t understand
Why racism still lingers in our school systems
Why the word love is used so loosely without a definition
How people allow the morals and the values of society to limit their thoughts
What I understand most is
The grass is never greener on the other side
Truth hurts and so does lies
People only change when they want
And…time does not heal every wound
